In the assessment of groundwater resources in Pingduran area, the permeability coefficient of aquifer is undoubtedly one of the most important parameters. The traditional method is to use pumping test to obtain parameters. We measured the aquifer permeability coefficient by single-hole tracer dilution method in the Deng-ji-Huang pilot area of the Yellow River Plains and achieved some results. It is feasible to use the tracer dilution method when the movement of groundwater obeys Darcy’s law. I-131 was used as a tracer.
