中国艺术富于人文精神,为人生而艺术是一个重要的传统。书法艺术以汉文字为基础,因此具有一个非常显著的特征,即有着较强的实用性,也就是说有着较其他艺术更广泛的社会基础。而基于此,书法既为汉字书写的艺术,其创作实体和所凭借的物质材料既相对简单,因此书法便有了另一个显著的特征,即相当进化和高深。这一点前贤有着明确的论述。所以我们今天要弘扬书法艺术,推动书法事业向前发展,就至少要做如下两个方面的工作:其一,普及和提高同步进行;其二,艺术实践和理论研究同步进行。
Chinese art is full of humanism and art is an important tradition for life. Chinese calligraphy is based on Chinese characters, so it has a very significant feature that it has strong practicality, that is to say, it has a broader social basis than other arts. Based on this, calligraphy is not only the art of writing Chinese characters, but the entity of creation and materials by virtue of it are relatively simple. Therefore, calligraphy has another salient feature, that is, it is quite evolved and profound. This point has a clear exposition of the former virtuous. Therefore, if we want to promote the calligraphic art today and push forward the calligraphic career, we should do at least the following two aspects: first, to popularize and improve simultaneously; secondly, to carry out art practice and theoretical research in a synchronized manner.
