对《干旱地区农业研究》１９８４～１９９４年１１卷４４期该刊的载文统计分析，该刊稿源丰富，稿件采用率为３７．１％，载文内容及论文性质符合办刊宗旨与报道专业范围，体现了以旱作农业为重点并重视水资源的合理利用及灌溉农业的发展，应用科学研究与基础科学研究并重的学术专业期刊报道特色。作者与稿源分布符合以我国北方旱农地区为主的地域特点。载文信息量—每印张平均２．４篇。报道时差６～１２个月占８２．９％。国家重点科技攻关项目内容等论文报道率为１７．６％。今后应进一步加强计划组稿，提高基础科学研究报道率，重点稿件的报道率，增加信息量。
