在北京紫禁城的东北方,南池子大街的北头,有一组红墙黄瓦的清代建筑群,老一辈的人都称此地为“风神庙”。这里就是北京皇城乃至整个北京城中唯一一处专用于祭祀风神的皇家寺庙——宣仁庙。在这座不大的寺庙里,承载清代200余年的风神供祀历史,也承载着中华民族最古老的民俗信仰之一——风神信仰。一、皇城中的风神庙宣仁庙俗称风神庙,坐落于北池子大街2号、4号。清雍正六年(1728年)敕建,嘉庆九年(1804年)重修。因其寺庙规制仿中南海时应宫,故赐号“应时显佑,庙日宣仁”。庙内有雍正皇帝御书
