Researchers at Case Western Reserve University recently used big data analysis to prevent patients with aggressive triple negative cancers, such as oropharyngeal or lung cancer, with 95% accuracy. If these tiny patterns found in magnetic resonance images can be consistently demonstrated in future studies, this technique will enable physicians to use NMR to diagnose more aggressive cancers earlier and to quickly develop treatment options for patients.
