一品红,通常以扦插为主。有硬枝扦插和软枝扦插两种。本人多年栽培一品红,发现用其根部也可繁殖新株(见照片)。每当春季的3、4月份,一品红出房时,要进行一次翻盆换土栽植,以补充盆土的养料,以及修茎修根。在这操作的过程中,人们往往对剪下的一品红老根弃而不用,但如果将根径在0.5cm以上的老根收集起来,将是一批大可利用的繁殖材料。繁殖方法是:将其剪成10cm 左右长的根段,再将剪断处蘸上干木炭粉或草木
