中国文物代表团于2004年访问印度,考察了10处世界遗产地、5座博物馆。在代表团印象中,印度的古建筑普遍得到较好保护。作为世界文明古国,印度与中国有许多相近之处。印度拥有相当一批掌握了文物保护先进理念并拥有丰富经验的文物保护管理人员;在保护文化遗产、继承和发扬传统文化方面有其独特的方式和成功的经验;在世界遗产地的管理、文物科技保护等方面取得的显著成绩,都值得中国借鉴和学习。
The delegation of Chinese cultural relics visited India in 2004 and inspected 10 World Heritage sites and 5 museums. In the delegation’s impression, ancient buildings in India are generally well protected. As an ancient civilization in the world, India and China have many similarities. India has a considerable number of cultural relics protection managers who have mastered the advanced concepts of cultural relics protection and have rich experience. They have unique ways and successful experiences in the protection of cultural heritage and inheritance and development of traditional culture.
