On December 29, 1982, the fourth annual academic conference of the Society for Powder Metallurgy and the commemorative meeting on the establishment of the Gansu Province were held in Beijing. About 248 delegates attended the conference, bringing in about 135 papers and five days’ duration. Representatives from different regions and different departments exchanged papers of common interest at the conference, and then read and discussed the dissertation according to different professions and products or different groups of subjects, which achieved good results.
