剪纸,从工具材料上讲,又称“铰花”是一种以纸为加工对象,通过剪刀的镂空创造视觉审美的表现艺术。在花样——技巧——寓意共同组成的剪纸艺术中,剪纸花样是桥梁、是载体,铰花技巧的运用是手段、是方法,剪纸寓意的表达是最终的目的、是剪纸艺术的灵魂。所以说只有在剪纸作品中真正做到剪花必有样、有样必吉祥,形神兼备,进而才能以样寓意、以意剪样,从而准确、生动、完美地表达出剪纸艺术中的花样美和寓意美。
