池沼公鱼是一种亚次水性的广盐性小型经济鱼类,经济价值高,繁殖快,收效大,具有较高的出口创汇价值。目前国内市场也供不应求。公鱼属于鲑科目胡瓜鱼科。据记载我国有两种即池沼公鱼和海公鱼。是我国东北的特产,常见于鸭绿江,大洋河下游,大连大西山水库,长春静目潭水库,图们江、黑龙江等。在世界上分布于北太平洋两岸和北冰洋东部,在亚洲沿岸分布于中国、朝鲜、日本和前苏联的远东沿岸地区,以中国和日本的产量较高。
