良种是大田作物获得高产的内在因素,一切增产技术措施都要通过它发挥作用。因此,多快好省地选育出适应农业生产迅速增长的新的良种,实为当务之急。目前,在水稻杂交育种工作上,国内外广泛应用的选择方法仍以“系谱法”、“混合法”和“集团法”为主。此外,还有“单粒种籽法”、“进化育种法”和“派生系统法”等等,都是要求最快能在F_5到F_6获得遗传性基本稳定的新类型,而在育种进程上都是比较缓慢的。
