在含油气区内进行与油气有关的勘查的理由在于要找出何处有尚未被发现的商业性石油并确定相关的风险。为了客观地确定风险,应该清楚地区分已知什么,未知什么。然而,当远景区带概念包括已知和未知两种情况时,勘探家在与管理部门讨论风险时可能总是不能清楚地区分这两类信息。相反,如果石油体系概念只用于介绍已知的,那么,远景区带概念就可用于介绍未知的。因此,以这种方式所使用的远景区带概念便是石油体系概念的补充。
The reason for oil and gas-related exploration within a hydrocarbon-bearing area is to find out where there is undiscovered commercial oil and identify the associated risks. In order to objectively determine the risk, it should be clearly distinguished what is known and unknown. However, when the concept of long-range zones includes both known and unknown scenarios, it may not always be clear for an explorer to clearly distinguish between these two types of information when discussing risks with management. Conversely, if the petroleum system concept is used only for introduction purposes, then the concept of long-range zone can be used to introduce the unknown. Therefore, the notion of long-range zones used in this way complements the notion of oil systems.
