剑川县城西南25公里处,有一座遐迩闻名的石宝山。石宝山之有名,不仅因为那里依山开凿的石窟历史悠久,窟内雕刻的佛像手法精细、造型优美、形象生动,为首批国家级重点文物保护单位,而且因为,一年一度的石宝山歌会别具特色,盛况空前,海内外游客慕名而至。石宝山歌会每年农历七月底八月初在宝相寺前举行。那里云岩列屏、气势雄伟,有密林藏寺、石坊占桥、鸟鸣幽谷、巉岩含阁、飞瀑垂帘、夕照宝崖、石宝灵泉诸景。寺前的歌会场清幽自然,缓缓起伏的草地,或缓或陡的山坡,翠绿的松树杉树,绿中透红的阔叶树,逐渐隐没在树林中的石级,曲曲折折的潺潺溪水……
