Objective: To understand the relationship between cerebral cortex temperature and microcirculation blood flow, to study the formation mechanism of high and low temperature on cortical surface. Methods: The cortical infrared thermography temperature was used to select the high and low temperature spots on the surface of brain of 20 craniocerebral cats. The blood flow was measured by laser Doppler microcirculation measuring instrument. Results: (1) There was a temperature difference on the surface of cortex. The average temperature of high temperature point was (34.83 ± 1.08) ℃ and low temperature point was (32.28 ± 1.19) ℃, both P <0. 001; (2) Microvascular blood flow measured at a high temperature point was 311 ± 85.8 and microvascular blood flow measured at a low temperature point was 134 ± 41.7, both of which had a very significant difference (P <0.001) ; (3) There was no significant difference in blood flow measured on dura and pia mater (P> 0.05). Conclusion: There is a direct relationship between cortical temperature and blood flow.
