The effect of suspension treatment on the microstructure and mechanical properties of cast hot-forged die steel (JCD steel) was investigated. The results show that the microstructure of the hot-forged die steel after the suspension treatment is refined and the segregation tendency is reduced. The hardness of the castings increases from HR39.5 to 44.15 and the impact toughness increases from 20.26J / cm2 to 54.82J / cm2, thermal fatigue resistance increased by about double the mechanical properties of cross-section uniformity and wear resistance have more substantial increase, to meet the performance requirements of hot forging die.
