颜宗是广东绘画史上第一个有画迹传世的画家。关于他的生平、画迹历来知之甚少,更遑论深入细致的研究。笔者早在一九九三年起便对其画迹有所关注,并写成小文刊发②,之后一直留心关于他的史料及其画迹。
Yan Zong is the first painter in the history of painting in Guangdong. With regard to his life, painting has always been little known, let alone the in-depth and meticulous research. Since 1993, the author has paid close attention to his paintings and published them in small articles. He has since been careful about his historical materials and his paintings.
