有人已广泛研究了抗氧化剂作为致癌作用的抑制剂。抗氧化剂减少了动物实验中的肿瘤形成并降低了体外的细胞转化作用。BHA是广泛使用的一种抗氧化剂,已有报导表明,BHA可改变动物体内苯并芘(Bp)代谢产物与DNA的结合及Bp的代谢,但其作用机制仍不清楚。本文作者以大鼠肝微粒体、经培养的小鼠胚胎细胞、人皮肤和人淋巴细胞的培养混合液研究了BHA对BP代谢产物与DNA结合的作用以及有机溶剂萃取的Bp代谢产物总量中二醇和酚的百分率。
