就四大名旦而言,梅派、程派和尚派都是正旦,以唱腔艺术著称的,尽管先生文武昆乱不挡,青衣戏也方正圆润,但是,先生是以花旦名世的。在当时以唱腔艺术为欣赏主体的时代,荀派以花旦卓尔不群的表演艺术,登上艺术的巅峰,虽然其原因是多方面的,我个人认为主要是荀派艺术具有鲜活的人物个性。
