At the age of 88, Deng Xiaoping was already 88 years old during his last southern tour. He was warmly welcomed by people from all over the world. He understood that his words and actions still exerted a tremendous influence on the course of China. He was so wise, considerate and kindhearted that he used his words and actions to express his profound feelings toward the motherland and the people.
