Objective To investigate the relationship between blood homocysteine and folic acid in patients with coronary heart disease. Methods From June 2014 to January 2015, 33 normal subjects 45-56 years old who underwent physical examination in our hospital were selected as control. 35 cases of 45-60-year-old CHD patients hospitalized during this period were selected as the experimental group, Group HCY and folic acid levels. Secondly, 159 patients with senile coronary heart disease (≥60 years) admitted to Datong Coal Mine Group General Hospital from February 2015 to April 2016 were divided into group A (49 patients) (HCY <15.0, male 29 20 cases of female) and 110 cases of group B (HCY> 15.0, 62 males and 48 females). Blood folate levels were measured in both groups. Results (1) Compared with normal subjects, the blood levels of HCY in patients with coronary heart disease (22.27 ± 13.11) were higher than those in healthy people (13.37 ± 2.82), and those in patients with coronary heart disease were 5.58 ± 4.36 The level of folic acid in the normal population was low (10.30 ± 3.67); (2) The levels of HCY in elderly patients with coronary heart disease increased from (10.61 ± 3.63) in group A to (26.60 ± 13.71), the level of blood folate decreased from (8.85 ± 7.20) in group A to (4.92 ± 4.05) in group B, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusions (1) The serum HCY level in patients with coronary heart disease is higher than that in normal people and the folic acid level is lower than normal. (2) The elevated blood HCY in elderly patients with coronary heart disease is closely related to the level of blood folate.
