镜湖公园位于松原市江南主城区锦江大街与松原大路交汇点西南200米处,水域面积7.7万平方米,共有两片水域相连。该湖多年来一直作为江南城区雨水、污水调蓄池。2005年,吉林油田开始筹划对镜湖及其周边地区环境进行整体规划与综合治理,打造宜居生态、和谐温馨的的矿区环境。随着镜湖公园建成以来,由于镜湖公园湖底做了湖底防渗措施以及湖中各种生物日积月累,因此湖水无法自然渗透地下,无法进行自然生态调节,造成富氧现象日趋严重,水中微生物、浮游生物、挺水植物等大量繁殖,严重污染了镜湖公园景观湖湖水的水质,给油田矿区居民造成
