近百年来,中华民族在遭受外侮的同时,珍贵的文化遗产也大量流失国外。今天,一些不法之徒的盗掘、盗窃、非法交易与走私犯罪活动严重地困扰着中国的文物保护事业。这起追索英人走私中国文物的重大案例,表明了我国政府对打击境内外文物走私犯罪活动的决心。本刊发表此文,以期唤起全国人民行动起来,为保护祖国优秀的历史文化遗产,与盗掘、盗窃、非法交易与走私文物的犯罪活动作斗争。
In the past century, while suffering from foreign aggression, the Chinese nation has also lost its precious cultural heritage abroad. Today, the criminal activities of the illegal criminals who dig, steal, illegally trade and smuggle seriously plague the cause of China’s heritage conservation. This major case of recourse to the British people’s smuggling of Chinese cultural relics shows our government’s determination to crack down on smuggling of cultural relics both at home and abroad. The article is published in this paper in an effort to arouse the people of the whole country to act in the fight against the criminal activities of excavating, stealing, illegally trading and smuggling cultural relics for the protection of the excellent historical and cultural heritage of the motherland.
