从不同的角度考察 ,可形成不同的修辞学体系。以语言为本位而建立的修辞学系统可分为以语言单位的层级为纲和以语言的构成要素为纲两种。总的说来 ,该系统研究各语言单位或语言要素的特点及修辞规律 ,显示了修辞学的语言———言语学性质 ,拓展了修辞研究的视野 ,又切实用 ,但以语言单位的层级为纲存在使一些修辞现象无法归附到某一层级的语言单位的问题 ,而以语言构成要素为纲 ,存在着仅着眼于语言因素 ,难以全面反映修辞内容的问题。该系统值得深入研究和不断完善
