今年4月,是群言杂志创刊15周年的日子。创刊号上,我们发表了费孝通同志主持的《畅谈‘尊重知识、尊重人才’》的专题座谈记录。1991年,我们曾组织了《再谈尊重知识、尊重人才》的专题笔谈。当年参加座谈、笔谈的专家学者,有的已经谢世,有的仍然健在。值得欣慰的是,他们当年关注和忧虑的问题,经过党和政府以及社会各界的努力,许多已得到落实和改善。面对改革开放新的形势,我们于1月25日以《科教兴国与尊重知识、尊重人才》为题再次举行专题座谈。90高龄的费孝通教授和民盟中央副主席吴修平先生共同主持了这次座谈。参加座谈会的有(以姓氏笔画为序): 刘凤泰教育部高教司副司长朱传柏科技部政体司副司长陆士桢中国青年政治学院副院长陈其泰北京师范大学教授邱泽奇北京大学副教授何福胜清华大学教授黄海霞中国科学院人事教育局副局长雷颐中国社会科学院副研究员魏秀珍人事部专业技术人员司处长
This April is the 15th anniversary of Group Magazine. On the first issue of the magazine, we published a symposium titled “Talked about Respecting Knowledge and Respecting Talents” chaired by Comrade Fei Xiaotong. In 1991, we organized a special talk on “Respecting Knowledge and Respecting Talents.” Some experts and scholars who participated in the seminars and writers' talks in those days have already passed away and some are still alive. What is gratifying is that many of the concerns and worries they raised in that year have been implemented and improved through the efforts of the party and the government as well as all sectors of society. Faced with the new situation of reform and opening up, we held a special symposium again on January 25 titled “Rejuvenating China with Science and Education, Respecting Knowledge and Respecting Talents.” Prof. Fei Xiaotong, 90, of the senior citizens and Mr. Wu Xiuping, vice chairman of the Central Committee of the Democratic League, co-chaired this forum.
