江苏省常州西藏民族中学是江苏省落实国务院“智力援藏”精神,创办于1985年的首批内地西藏班(校),是一所汉藏文化兼容、特色鲜明的内地西藏班(校)的窗口学校。30年来,学校累计招收三千余名藏族学生。现有教职工56名,12个教学班。生源来自西藏拉萨、山南、日喀则、林芝、那曲、昌都、阿里等地区,其中以拉萨为主。“让藏族孩子享受与常州同步乃至更优质的教育”已成为学校不懈的追求。
