1990年4月12日至16日,中组部、中宣部和国家教委党组联合召开了高等学校党的建设工作会议,来自全国各地的省、市委书记、有关方面负责人和100多所大学的党委书记会聚北京,专门研究加强高等学校党的建设工作,这在建国以来还是第一次。会议第一天,党和国家领导人江泽民、李鹏、宋平和李铁映等同志会见了全体代表,并同部分代表进行了座谈。会议回顾了我们党领导高等学校的历史,认为有许多经验应该总结。在50年代和60年代前期,我们党实现并坚持了对高等学校的全面领导,培养了大批适应
From April 12 to April 16, 1990, the Central Organization Department, the Central Propaganda Department and the State Education Commission and Party Group jointly convened a conference on the party construction in colleges and universities. Leaders from provinces and municipalities throughout the country, heads of relevant departments and over 100 universities Party secretary gathered in Beijing, specializing in strengthening the party building in higher learning institutions, which is the first time since the founding of the PRC.
