第三次全国统计科研工作会议于1994年4月19日至22日在湖北省武汉市召开。副会的有各省、市、区统计科研所、国务院各部统计学会负责同志共84人。张塞同志因出国未能到会,国家统计局副局长翟立功作了“如何发挥统计科研的超前导向作用,争取统计科研有一个新的突破”的报告。中国统计学会常务副会长郑家亨作了题为“如何发挥统计科研的超前导向作用”的即席讲话。国家统计局科研所所长、中国统计学会秘书长张泽厚同志作了工作报告。辽宁、北京、江苏、上海、卫生部、湖北等省市、部委代表在会上交流了统计学会
