跳高是一项较复杂的运动项目,它对人体的速度、力量(弹跳力)、柔韧性、灵敏性及身体各部位的协调能力等身体素质要求较高,如何尽快提高竞赛成绩?首先应着重发展速度、弹跳力、柔韧性、灵敏性、协调性等身体素质;其次提高跳高技术,把助跑、起跳、过杆、落地四部分有机结合起来。把助跑点和起跳点有机结合起来;做好起跳动作,使之跳得起、过得去、落得安。最后,采用先进的跳高技术动作(姿势),提高其跳高成绩。
