戏剧史家周贻白较早注意到地方戏模仿汉剧、京剧与话剧的现象。他认为,无论是模仿汉剧的高台大戏倾向,还是对京剧的盲目崇拜与追随,或者以话剧的方式对地方戏进行现代化改革等等,都是违背地方戏的自身规律的。地方戏的地域性生态特征是其生存和发展的基础。即地方戏应该在各自地域性生态空间环境下竞相绽放,保持其在地域性生态空间的环境中进行创作和演出,并形成与地方观众群体之间的互动。
Zhou Yibai, the historian of drama, earlier noticed that local operas imitated the phenomena of Chinese opera, Beijing opera and drama. He believes that whether it is to imitate the drama of Taiwan’s high stage trend, or blind worship and follow-up of Beijing opera, or drama in the local drama modernization and so on, are contrary to the rules of local opera own. The local ecological characteristics of local opera is the basis of its survival and development. That is to say, local plays should bloom in their respective regional ecological space environment, maintain their creative and performance in the environment of regional ecological space and form an interaction with local audience groups.
