西方语境中对于艺术教育的表述,有过从最基本的arts education到诸如“为了艺术的教育”(education for the arts)、“通过艺术的教育”(education through the arts)、“以艺术为基础的教育”(arts-based education)、“作为美育的艺术教育”(arts education as aesthetic education)等诸多不同方式,表述的不同源于其背后的艺术教育观念的变化,根源在于对“艺术”与“教育”以及二者关系的理解随着社会与文化语
