早稻南特号经过春化的种子不问在短日照下或自然日照下栽种,其茎生长点开始分化均较未经春化的为早(约4天左右),相对的短日照并不能使它明显提早分化。生长点分化到抽穗的过程则在四组栽种条件下并无明显不同。中稻石稻不问春化与未春化种子凡在短日照下栽种的其生长点开始分化均较在自然日照下的早27天左右,相对的春化并不能使它明显提早分化。生长点分化后到抽穗的过程则在四组栽种条件下并无明显不同。晚稻老来青不问春化与未春化的种子凡在短日照下栽种的其生长点开始分化均较在自然日照下的早47天左右。相对的春化并不能使它明显提早。生长点分化后到抽穗的过程凡在短日照下栽种的亦有缩短的趋势。以上资料说明石稻、老来青在上海地区播种条件下光照阶段相对的要比春化阶段为长,这两品种在本地区一般播种条件下所以成熟较晚,主要是与它们所要求的光照阶段发育条件受到限制有关。春化种子(或未春化种子)在有利于进行光照发育阶段的短日照条件下栽种则茎生长点分化及抽穗均可显著提早,这说明水稻茎生长点分化与光照发育阶段的进行有着密切的联系。
