本文对两湖地区的“防护林群体资源”进行林种划分，建立了由一级林种→二级林种→三级林种→基本类型构成的防护林分类系统，分析计算全区的防护林主体林种──水土保持林、水源涵养林基本类型主防护功能的防护技术参数，对防护林经营具有实用意义。
