International standards are an important part of the rules of international trade. Standardization of international standards has also become the focus of competition among various countries. The article incorporates international standards into the D-S framework, explores its impact mechanism on trade in intermediate goods and conducts empirical tests. The research shows that developing countries pay more attention to ISO international certification and break through the traditional pattern of international division of labor through gradual integration of international standards into global value chain production system. The promotion effect of international standards on the trade in intermediary products has a threshold effect. When the per capita GDP Above 11,000 U.S. dollars, enhancing the penetration of international standards by both sides will promote the trade in intermediate goods, otherwise. When the per capita GDP of our country is less than the threshold, we will be constrained by the infiltration of the other’s international standards when participating in the international division of labor led by the developed countries. Therefore, we should further raise the level of economic development, accelerate the pace of international standardization and comprehensively enhance the competitiveness and standardization of trade products.
