宁夏贺兰山自然保护区地跨银川、石嘴山两市六县(区),总面积21.99万公顷,野生动植物资源868种。1950年成立了管理机构,1982年经自治区人大批准为省级自然保护区,1988年经国务院批准为国家级自然保护区。宁夏贺兰山国家级自然保护区管理局是自治区林业局直属的生态公益型事业单位,担负着保护区内的生态建设和野生动植物资源的保护与管理任务。
Ningxia Helan Mountain Nature Reserve across Yinchuan, Shizuishan two counties (districts), with a total area of 219,900 hectares, 868 kinds of wildlife resources. In 1950, a regulatory agency was established. In 1982, it was approved as a provincial nature reserve by the autonomous region’s people’s congress. In 1988, it was approved as a national nature reserve by the State Council. Ningxia Helanshan National Nature Reserve Authority is an autonomous region directly under the Ministry of Forestry ecological public welfare units, responsible for the protection of ecological construction and wildlife resources protection and management tasks.
