“精神”或曰“人性”——人类与世上万物的根本区别。精神(思想)与语言——文学作品的两大功能。而文学翻译与一般翻译的区别——文学翻译不仅要翻译语言,而且要传达每个作者独特的“精神功能”。歌德把翻译家誉为“他自己人民的先知”正是此意,因而他也必然把文学翻译视为“世界事务中最重要、最有价值的活动之一”。笔者深信,再过几千年也不会出现一架能够替代
