第二板市场,或称创业板市场,是为具有发展潜力的中小企业,特别是高新技术企业融资的股票市场。香港联交所于1999年11月15日成功推出第二板市场,是我国培育经济发展新增长点的需要,有助于健全我国投资体系,同时也有利于调整香港产业结构、巩固其国际金融中心的地位。香港第二板市场有专门的上市规则,包括公司上市条件及管治要求、保荐人的资格和责任,最具特色的是其以信息披露和买者自负为基本原则的监管制度。创业板要成功运作有许多影响因素,关键在于上市公司的选择。
The second board market, or the GEM market, is a stock market financing small and medium-sized enterprises with growth potential, especially high-tech enterprises.
