小学科学课程是一门以培养学生科学文化素质为宗旨的义务教育阶段的核心课程,小学科学实验教学既是小学科学教学的基础,又是小学科学的重要教学的重要内容,重要方法和重要手段。它不仅能使儿童获得科学的知识,掌握科学的技能而且能激发儿童的学习兴趣,发展其动手能力,科学思维能力。同时培养儿童的科学态度和价值观。教具是科学课程教学的实验载体,是学生创新思维的基石。自制教具更是把学生带到探索、创造、发明的指路明灯。教师课堂上不断利用自制教具诱导学生动脑、动手发散思维是我们教师义不容辞的责任和义务,只有让学生动起来,大脑处于兴奋状态,他的学习兴趣、求知欲才能达到极致。因为兴趣是最好的老师,有了兴趣学生才会并不断的去探究。因此教师结合教材的部分教具,再自制一些现实的教具才能满足学生的求知欲,所以自制教具是学生上课用教具的重要组成部分。它具有不用于一般教具的特殊性--动脑、动手思维创造的过程。
