The first International IC Symposium and Exhibition (ICC’96) will be held March 27-29 in China, one of the countries with the largest consumption of computers and electronic components in the world. The seminar will focus on microprocessors and personal computers to explore. For example, Joseph Jo of Texas Instruments will talk about how to design a low-cost Intel x86 system in a PC for product design. Other speakers will talk about x86 alternatives. Chinh Le from Motorola will talk about the application of Power-PC chips developed by IBM. Alan Kwan of Temic will explain how they collaborate with Sun Microsystems in the development and application of Spare Central Processing Units, while Liam Goudge of ARM Consortium will introduce a low-power, high-performance CPU design method. Zilog, Inc., an x86-based processor, will cover the design of products that can be used in consumer and remote control products
