1991年湖北省统计信息自动化系统建设,在国家统计局的规划指导下,在省、地(州)、市和县各级统计局的领导和支持下,得到了进一步加强和完善,顺利地完成了各项数据处理任务。各地、市、州统计局计算站在1990年建站的基础上,高质量地完成了第四次人口普查的数据录入和制表工作。在应用计算机完成年报和定期报表的汇总处理方面也有了新的发展,特别是县级统计局微机的应用受到广泛的重视,30%的县配备3台微机。微机的广泛应用,使统计专业人员摆脱了繁重的手工计算,能抽出更多的时间用于统计分析。湖北省统计局计算中心还在完成全省综合统计指标数据库后,开展了工业月报数据库的研制。对该库的数据结构模型、存贮方法和用户界面,进行了深入的探讨,完成了管理系统程序设计和数据加载。对人口数据库建设做了前期准备,探索了由普查原始数据文件转换为库文件的方法。其它在激光排版,远程数据通讯,设备维护管理等方面也都有了新的进展。总之,湖北省统计信息自动化系统建设,经过前几年的努力已初具规模,形成了计算机应用和管
