就像一台电脑,网站也可以拆解成类似于主板、芯片、存储器这样的零部件.如今,那些为中国互联网提供零部件的技术供应商们的价值开始显现.“,”Just like a computer which can be dissembled into a main board, a processor and some discs, a website is assembled with different components. Since last year, various websites have been mushrooming in China. The Internet component providers prevail in the second tide of the Internet. They provide various components, suchassystems for BBS,BLOG and CMS. Though these products are only software, they've already shown necessary attributes of standard components of the Internet. With these components you can easily launch a website offering basic functions to attract visitors. Then the Internet component providers, websites and end-users of the websites form a chain of business. The providers are at the top of the chain and supply standard components for various individuals and institutions to build their own websites. Operators of the sites make money by providing services to Internet users. And users get information which meets their demands from the site. With the emergence of the Internet component providers, technical cost for building websites starts to decrease and the procedure becomes simpler. Thus, the threshold for entering the Internet business is very much lowered. To some extent, the Internet component providers change the whole fundamental environment of China's Internet business. Among the Internet component providers, Comsenz in Beijing is an outstanding one. With venture capital, the start-up developed two pieces of software - Discuz!, a free BBS system and X Space, a Web 2.0 personal portal. The company expands rapidly thanks to its products and business model that greatly shocks other Internet component providers. In order to safeguard their market share, Dynamic Vanguard Network Technology Co., Powereasy Network Co. and OBLOG have formed an alliance to develop an integrated version of BBS, BLOG and CMS. The competition becomes fiercer, but China's Internet market still keeps flourishing. (see p42)
