Due to the differences in population density across the country, the distribution of tourism is manifested in two modes: on the one hand, tourism facilities tend to be concentrated in large urban centers; on the other hand, there is a tendency to develop in sparsely populated areas such as rural or small islands . Smaller islands have been crowded with influx of tourists (Benchley, 1982), and blocked arid regions have largely failed to be exploited. The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the potential of the desert environment to develop tourism and to elaborate on the central elements of the patterns at various stages of the development process. The first section is the evaluation section, the second section outlines the development model, and finally, the model is validated through a case study of the desert in Negev, Israel.
