Angiogenesis occurs widely in various pathological and physiological processes. The cardiovascular diseases involved include rheumatoid arthritis, atherosclerosis, vascular restenosis, heart failure, and gene therapy for myocardial infarction. The mechanism of elucidating this process at the molecular level is the study of the pathogenesis of the above diseases and the development of clinical drugs. The synergistic effect of various growth factors is an important prerequisite for the maintenance of normal angiogenesis. Angiopoietin-2 is the only receptor tyrosine kinase growth factor newly discovered to act on normal blood vessels. At present, the research mainly focuses on the correlation and potential application value of tumor angiogenesis, and little research has been done in the cardiovascular field. However, according to experimental evidence, this factor may play an important role in the occurrence of cardiovascular diseases. This article is based on the research progress of Ang-2 in the development of tumors. It hopes to play a role in attracting more and more people. It has led to extensive discussions of the role and mechanism of Ang-2 in cardiovascular disease.
