在儿时听到大人抱怨“哎呀,我腰好疼”的时候,如果我们也跟着喊腰疼,就可能招致大人玩笑似的奚落:“你也腰疼?你有腰吗?”如果“腰”单纯地指代身体胯上胁下的部分,小孩儿当然是有腰的。那么大人嘴里“小孩儿没有腰”的说法又是怎么来的?如果只是大人们无心地随口一说,为什么会使几代人都形成相似的回忆?看来这一问题并不简单。
