“粤油651—116”(以下简称为“粤油116”)是我省目前正在推广的花生新良种。79年在全省推广种植的面积已达十万亩以上,其中佛山、湛江地区推广面积较大。该品种经1979至1980年度《全省花生品种区域试验》,经鉴定确定为逐步取代“粤油551’的大面积推广种。该品种既具有原种“粤油551”的适应性较广和抗逆性较强等优点,又在形态结构方面有较明显的改进,如叶片较厚,叶绿素含量较高,叶面积增大,干物量增加,净同化率和经济系数也有所提高;后期地上部保持较多的青叶数,地下部单株结荚数多,并且饱果率和双仁果率也较高。
