親愛的同胞們!英勇的人民軍將士們,勇敢的男女游擊隊員們!今天全體朝鮮人民迎接自己在長久的鬥爭中爭取到的朝鲜民主主義人民共和國建國兩週年。 兩年前的今天,在一九四八年九月九日,朝鮮最高人民會議第一次會議通過了朝鮮民主主義人民共和國憲法,宣佈我們的國家為共和國並樹立了共和國政府。我們在反對美國武裝侵略者及其走狗李承晚叛徒、為祖國的獨立自由與榮譽而進行的祖國解放戰爭的環境中,迎接朝鮮民主主義人民共和國建國兩週年。 愛自己祖國的全體朝鮮人民,不論其階層的分別、財產的有無、以及政見與信仰的差異,都萬眾一心地為保衛内己所樹立的我們年青的共和國和自己所爭取到的權利而在祖國解放戰爭中總動員了。我們年青的共和國,是由於偉大蘇聯軍隊的武力,從日本帝國主義殖民地統治中獲得解放後,朝鮮人民用自己的手所建立起來的國家制度。我們的共和國正如你們所知道的雖只有短短兩年的歷史,但在建設民主獨立國家的鬥爭之偉業中,共和國人只所爭取得的成果是極爲巨大的。
Dear fellow citizens, brave People’s Army soldiers and brave men and women guerrillas, today all the people of North Korea welcome the two-year anniversary of the founding of Democratic People’s Republic of Korea in the long struggle they won. Two years ago today, on September 9, 1948, the first DPRK Supreme People’s Assembly passed the Constitution of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, declaring our country a republic and setting up a republican government. In the context of the liberation war for the motherland conducted by the United States armed aggressors and their lackey Rhee’s late betrayal and for the freedom and honor of the motherland, we welcome the second anniversary of the founding of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea. The entire Korean people, who love their own motherland, are liberated from the motherland for the defending of our young republic and the rights they ourselves have won, united in their hearts and minds, regardless of their class differences, their property, and the difference between their political opinions and beliefs The total mobilization in the war. Our young republic is the national system established by the Korean people after their liberation from the rule of the Japanese imperialist colonies by the force of the great Soviet army. As we all know, our Republic has a history of just two years.
