目前我国茶叶生产的主要基地仍然在广大的农村人民公社,绝大多数社、队茶园都是解放前遗留下来的旧式茶园,茶蓬稀密不一,肥培管理粗放,茶树生长势不良,因此单产低。我们所住的基点——历口公社东山生产队,可说是一个典型的例子。该队是一个茶粮并举的生产队,全队社员31户,有旧式茶园110亩,其中可采茶园94亩,水田155.6亩,旱地22亩,但是直到1962年茶叶平均亩产仅25斤干毛茶。
