I. INTRODUCTION Low-pass digital filters are often used in water level and ocean current data processing. For example, in recent years, self-recording devices have been increasingly used for ocean current observation. The sampling intervals for the original recordings obtained by these instruments are generally less than one hour. Conventional tidal current analysis is accustomed to using data of one hour interval.
