暴力行为发生在青少年(尤其是少年),其动机常较模糊,从成人的角度来看,常显得令人难以理解,这是由青少年期的生理心理特征所决定的。由于青少年心理发展不稳定,具有模仿性强、自制力弱、好胜、好冲动、充满好奇、追求刺激等特点,常出于自我显示而胆大妄为,无所顾忌,故作案动机简单,极少有预谋。有时为了追求特殊刺激和“快感”,有时是幻想成为英雄人物,有时为了讲“哥们义气”,多数时候毫不考虑后果。作案之后多数表示后悔,但也有人仍然陶醉于对英雄人物的幻想,即使面临法律制裁也毫不惧怕。
