In this process, the reader’s role is positive and has its own View of. The Chinese version of The Lady of the Camellia is a successful translation. This is mainly due to the fact that Lin Shu’s own special emotional experience has made it easy for him to find resonance with the original author. In addition, Lin Shu fully considered the reading habits of Chinese readers in the process of translation, and well combined the main thrust of the original text with the customs of the Chinese people.
