6 原子时间 为了测量惯性时间,可以选用任何一个天文学上的两体系统,然而在太阳系中,星星的轨道运动都要受到其他物体(已知的大物体以及未知的小物体)的扰动,不幸的是,在开普勒定律中,星星轨道运动的周期依赖于它的初始条件,即星星的能量。由于外界扰动可以改变地球的能量,这样利用地球轨道运动周期作为计时的基准也要随之而变。
